Our conversation with Shelby delves deep into the root causes of our collective health challenges in this advanced era. Her unique perspective, rooted in reverse engineering, takes us on a journey from the present back to the fundamentals of how our bodies function.
A significant portion of our discussion centers on food and insulin resistance. Let’s begin with a fundamental understanding of metabolism and digestion. Whenever we consume carbohydrates, whether they are in the form of fruit, candy, or beans, they break down into a basic sugar molecule known as glucose. Regardless of their shape, color, or texture, all carbohydrates undergo this transformation in the body. This glucose then enters your bloodstream through the digestive tract. It’s the role of insulin to act as the “key” that unlocks your cells, allowing glucose to enter and be used as a source of energy. This energy production fuels every aspect of your body’s functioning, from the basics like breathing and digestion to complex processes like brain function and muscle movement. In essence, without energy, there is no life.
However, when a person experiences insulin resistance, their body continues to produce insulin, but it struggles to use it effectively. In simpler terms, insulin doesn’t efficiently escort sugar from the bloodstream into the cells. Consequently, both sugar and insulin remain in the bloodstream, failing to communicate properly.
As a result, since your cells aren’t receiving the energy they need (due to the sugar being trapped in the bloodstream), your body continually signals the pancreas to release more and more insulin. Over time, this excess insulin and sugar accumulation can elevate your blood glucose and insulin levels above the healthy range.
The transformation from insulin resistance to insulin sensitivity can be a game-changer for your health. We also delve into the topic of hormonal issues, linking them back to insulin resistance. Additionally, we explore the unfortunate silencing of some scientists who possess authentic and proven methods. This episode is not only epic but also a game-changer that you absolutely cannot afford to miss if you are seeking to understand and overcome insulin resistance for a healthier, more vibrant life.
